Kayla

Speech Therapist

Kayla is a capable and personable Speech Pathologist with a strong paediatric focus and experience working across clinic, school, kindergarten, and community settings. She delivers play‑based, child‑centred therapy grounded in evidence‑based and family‑centred practice.

Kayla is known for her warm, engaging style and her ability to build genuine connections with children, families, and support teams. She has valuable international and cross‑cultural experience, having worked alongside Nepal’s National Autism Team in a low‑resource setting, which strengthened her adaptability, creativity, and clinical problem‑solving skills.

Her clinical experience includes supporting speech, language, literacy, fluency, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), early intervention, and broader developmental needs. She has worked with children with autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, selective mutism, and other complex presentations.

Coming from a rural background herself, Kayla is passionate about improving access to services in rural and remote communities. She enjoys collaborating with families, educators, and support staff to ensure strategies carry over into everyday environments.
