Bel

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Bel is a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Crystel Care who brings a warm, approachable personality and a holistic, person‑centred approach to her work. She is passionate about celebrating progress in all its forms, from small steps to major milestones, and enjoys supporting people to achieve goals that are meaningful to them.

Bel has experience working across the disability, education, and aged care sectors, with roles spanning Education Support, Support Work, and Positive Behaviour Support. She is particularly passionate about advocating for individuals whose voices are not always heard and ensuring they are supported to experience everything life has to offer.

A key strength of Bel’s practice is supporting individuals who are non‑verbal or whose communication may not always be understood by those around them. She works closely with participants and their support networks to understand communication preferences, advocate for individual needs, and create practical strategies that support meaningful participation.

Bel has also supported individuals with complex needs, including those experiencing changes in mobility and increased behaviours of concern. Through strong relationship building and adaptive communication strategies, she has supported participants to regain community access and reduce behaviours by ensuring their needs and choices are clearly understood and respected.

Bel services the South East of South Australia and South West Victoria regions. Outside of work, she proudly volunteers with the State Emergency Service (SES), where she enjoys serving her community as part of the emergency response team.
