Behaviour support practitioners (often referred to as “PBS practitioners”) assess the influences on a person’s behaviour, and design interventions to both increase a person’s quality of life and reduce challenging behaviours. Practitioners are engaged across disability and community services, home environments and school settings.
In the NDIS PBS Practitioners are accessed via Improved Relationships and assist with the development & implementation of Behavioural Support Plans.
Occupational therapists use a whole person perspective to work with individuals, groups and communities to achieve optimal health and wellbeing through participation in the occupations of life. The term ‘occupation’ is used to describe all the everyday things we do in our life roles, but also the things we do to be who we are, the things we do to create a meaningful life and to engage with wider society and culture.
In the NDIS Occupational Therapists are accessed via I and assist with the development & implementation of Behavioural Support Plans.
